Avian Odyssey 2025

Avian Odyssey 2025 took place on September 20th at the Natural History Museum in London, following on from a similar event last year. Hosted by the NHM and the British Ornithologists’ Club, the day featured nine short talks centred around good news stories from conservation. Dr Lia Kajiki, on behalf of NBC, presented “A gaze into the curious world of Manakins” based on her PhD studies, which included stunning footage of manakin leks. Other organisations represented were the RSPB, BTO, Oriental Bird Club, OSME, African Bird Club, BirdLife International, the NHM, and the BBC Natural History Unit. For the first time the event was livestreamed for people who couldn’t get down to London, and when we have the link for the recording, we will forward it to you.
